One Tax Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
DATES OF THE SWEEPSTAKES: The One Tax Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 15, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM ET on May 16, 2025 (the “Sweepstakes Period”), with a single drawing occurring on or about May 30, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: To enter the Sweepstakes, you must be a legal permanent resident in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and at least the age of majority in your state of residence (nineteen (19) in Alabama and Nebraska, twenty-one (21) in Mississippi, and eighteen (18) in all other states) with a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number at the time of entry (the “Entrant”). Employees of One Finance, Inc. (the “Sponsor”), teamDigital Promotions, Inc. (“Administrator”) and each of their subsidiaries (collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”), and their immediate families (i.e. parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is void outside of the fifty (50) United States, District of Columbia and wherever else restricted or prohibited by law. By entering, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
All entries must be submitted during the Sweepstakes Period in order to be included in the drawing.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:
Make a qualifying electronic direct deposit of your 2024 federal tax refund during the Sweepstakes Period to your personal One Cash account (“One Account”) to receive one (1) entry for such qualifying direct deposit. The dollar value of your eligible tax refund will not increase or decrease your chances of winning a prize. PLEASE NOTE: A qualifying electronic direct deposit of a federal tax refund is dependent upon the date on which the qualifying electronic direct deposit has been posted to the respective One Account. In order to qualify as an entry, the eligible electronic direct deposit of a federal tax refund must be posted to the respective One Account by 11:59 PM ET on May 16, 2025. An electronic direct deposit of a federal tax refund posted to the respective One Account after 11:59 PM ET on May 16, 2025 will not be considered an entry into this Sweepstakes.
Mail-in Entry: To enter without making a Tax Refund Direct Deposit into a One Account, on a plain 3” x 5” card, legibly print or type your complete name (first, middle, last), age, complete mailing address, phone number (including area code), email address, and the date on which your federal tax refund was filed, stated as “Federal Tax Return Filed on XX/XX/25”. Then, mail your 3” x 5” card in a postage-affixed sealed envelope to: One Tax Sweepstakes, 211 Greenwood Ave. 2-2, Promo 505, Bethel, CT 06801. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by May 16, 2025 and received by May 23, 2025 to be eligible for the drawing. No mechanically or programmatically reproduced entries are permitted. One (1) entry per envelope. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries for Entrants. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for late, misdirected, illegible, or damaged mailed entries.
Limit of one (1) entry per Entrant for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry. Entrants may only use one (1) One Account and one (1) email address to participate in this Sweepstakes. Entries received from any Entrant, email address or One Account in excess of the above stated limitation will be void.
In the event of uncertainty as to the identity of an Entrant, that Entrant will be disqualified. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, One Accounts, email addresses, accounts, and/or any other methods will void that Entrant’s entries and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. No mechanically or programmatically reproduced entries are permitted. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries for Entrants. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or damaged entries, deposits or failed internet connections.
RANDOM DRAWING/ODDS OF WINNING: On or about May 30, 2025, ten (10) potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period conducted by Administrator, whose decisions are based on their sole discretion and interpretation of these Official Rules and are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
PRIZES: Ten (10) winners (each, a “Winner”) will each have their federal tax return doubled by One, each up to a maximum amount of $5,000 (each, a “Prize”). In the event a Winner participated via the mail-in method of entry, their Prize will be $5,000 and awarded in the form of a check. Winners who participated via the tax refund direct deposit method of entry will have their Prize credited to their One Account. The total maximum Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of all Prizes throughout the Sweepstakes Period is $50,000.
Federal, state and local taxes and all other expenses not specified herein are Winner’s sole responsibility. Each potential Winner will be required to provide Sponsor with a valid social security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number before being awarded a Prize. An IRS form 1099 will be issued in the name of each Winner for the actual value of the Prize received. Unclaimed Prizes will be forfeited. The Released Parties are not responsible for and will not replace any prize that is undeliverable or does not reach a Winner because of an incorrect or changed address.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Winners who participated via the tax refund direct deposit method of entry must have their One Account open and in good standing at time of Prize award to be eligible to receive a Prize. Failure to have a One Account open and in good standing at the time a Prize is awarded may result in forfeiture of Prize. Limit one (1) Prize per person for the entire Sweepstakes Period. No Prize substitution, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. Prizes are not transferable prior to being awarded. Sponsor reserves the right to exclude from the Sweepstakes any potential Winner or Winner who is suspected of theft, fraud, or any criminal activity related to Sponsor or its affiliates. Entries associated with a fraudulent One Account(s) or other unauthorized use of a One Account(s) and entries associated with any similar fraudulent or inappropriate activities relating to any such One Account(s) will be void and all such Entrants may be disqualified.
WINNER NOTIFICATION & PRIZE CLAIMS: Potential Winners will be notified by the Administrator Sponsor via email, phone and/or mail and will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability and publicity release (“Affidavit”) (unless prohibited by law) within seven (7) days from date of Prize notification. Notification is deemed to have occurred immediately upon sending of an email or placing a phone call to a potential Winner, one (1) day after notification is sent via a delivery service, or two (2) days if notification is sent via mail. If such Affidavit is not returned within the specified time period, a Prize or Prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Administrator or Sponsor is unable to contact a potential Winner or a potential Winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, such Prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate potential Winner may be randomly selected and notified for the applicable Prize. Prizes will be awarded within four (4) to six (6) weeks after all Winners have been confirmed.
SWEEPSTAKES RULES OF PARTICIPATION: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable, illegible, or incomplete entries, whether due to system errors or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, or otherwise. Sponsor may prohibit an Entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a Prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Entrants, Sponsor, or Sweepstakes Entities. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not able to be conducted as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and randomly draw from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
NO LIABILITY: By entering, Entrants and Winners agree to comply with all Official Rules, as stated and agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees, including the aforementioned Sweepstakes Entities in the “ELIGIBILITY” section of these Official Rules, (now collectively defined as the “Releasees”) from any claims, actions, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including, without limitation, personal injury or death, resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participating in this Sweepstakes or from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of a Prize. This limitation of liability is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including, without limitation, compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages; loss of data, income or profit; loss of or damage to property; and claims of third parties. Entrants agree that Releasees have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, statutory, express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, title, and fitness for a particular purpose, in fact or in law, relative to this Sweepstakes.
CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of New York, USA.
WINNER’S LIST/RULE REQUEST: To receive a winner list or an additional copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped business-size (#10) envelope to be received by July 3, 2025 to: One Tax Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 513717, Los Angeles, CA 90051. Please specify “Winner List” or “Rules Request.”
PRIVACY/REMOVAL REQUEST: All identity and One Account transaction information used to enter you in the Sweepstakes shall be kept confidential and secure and will be subject to the privacy policy or policies governing your One Account. Sponsor will not use or share your information for any reason other than to administer the Sweepstakes. To have yourself removed as an entrant in the Sweepstakes, please send your name and address on a 3” x 5” card in a postage-affixed sealed envelope to One Tax Sweepstakes Removal Request, P.O. Box 513717, Los Angeles, CA 90051.
